Co-op Bank Named Kenya's Best Retail Bank and Best Digital Bank at 2026 Euromoney Awards
The Co-operative Bank of Kenya has been recognised as Kenya's Best Retail Bank and Kenya's Best Digital Bank at the 2026 Euromoney Awards for Excellence, cementing its position among the country's leading financial institutions.
The dual recognition celebrates the bank's continued investment in customer-focused banking, digital innovation and financial inclusion. Euromoney, one of the world's leading financial publications, said the awards acknowledge institutions that have demonstrated outstanding performance, innovation and customer service across the banking sector.
Co-operative Bank said the awards reflect its strategy of expanding digital banking services while maintaining a strong retail banking network across the country. The lender now serves more than 9.8 million customers, with a significant proportion of transactions conducted through digital channels such as mobile and internet banking.
The recognition comes at a time when competition among Kenyan banks is increasingly centred on digital transformation, with lenders investing heavily in mobile banking, online services and customer experience.
