Kenya Airways Brings Back Its Iconic Boeing 777 with 50% Discount on Mombasa Flights
Kenya Airways (KQ) has announced discounts of up to 50% on return fares for passengers travelling on its iconic Boeing 777-300ER between Nairobi and Mombasa.
Therefore, giving travellers a rare opportunity to fly aboard one of the airline's largest aircraft at significantly reduced prices.
The offer is part of the national carrier's preparations for its 50th anniversary celebrations and the return of the Boeing 777 to scheduled passenger service.
The promotional fares apply to selected flights operating between 12 and 16 July 2026, with economy class tickets starting from approximately KSh6,600, down from the usual fare of about KSh13,245.
Business class fares have also been reduced by nearly half on selected departures.
The Boeing 777-300ER, which has been absent from KQ's regular passenger operations for several years, will return to long-haul service on the Nairobi–London Heathrow route after the promotional Mombasa flights.
The temporary deployment on the domestic route gives local travellers the chance to experience the airline's flagship wide-body aircraft before it resumes international operations.
Kenya Airways said the offer is subject to seat availability and applies only to flights operated by the airline.
The promotion is also expected to boost domestic tourism by encouraging more travellers to visit the Coast during the holiday period.
The campaign comes as Kenya Airways continues its recovery efforts and seeks to strengthen customer engagement through special promotions while showcasing one of the most recognisable aircraft in its fleet.
